About the role

  • • Managing database-related release management activities for staging and production systems
  • • Proactively diagnose/assess the database environment before problems arise

Responsibilities

  • Developing, configuring and maintaining databases and related systems. This includes writing well-formed, efficient SQL queries, views, jobs, and stored procedures to collect, process relevant data

Requirements

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to provide timely and informative follow-up to end-users
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight
  • Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of database platforms in an enterprise infrastructure with the ability to utilize database administration tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve database related issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow change management and/or ITIL processes
  • Ability to work from a ticketing system and provide updates to clients and team

Nice to have

  • B.S/B.A. Degree (In Relevant Field Preferred)
  • Preferred Skills:

Skills

  • Experience with shell programming (bash and korn shell) and/or C/C++/Java
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
