Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
- Research and identify required parts, components, and materials necessary to complete repair and maintenance activities.
- Contact equipment manufacturers or technical support representatives when additional diagnostic or repair guidance is required.
- Eligible after 1 year of service, must be taken within the calendar year.
Nice to have
- Welding certification is preferred.
- Class A CDL preferred.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of the operation, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, including diesel and gas-powered vehicles and machinery.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment inspection procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment schematics, safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment, heavy machinery, and specialized service tools required for equipment diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling, hazardous waste regulations, and safe disposal practices.
- Ability to mentor or provide guidance to less experienced mechanics or technicians when needed.
- Ability to travel to remote job sites or customer locations approximately 10% of the time.
