About the role
- We are a leading manufacturer of commercial motors, industrial motors, appliance motors, and controls.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the technical aspects of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines
- Work with contract manufacturers to introduce designs into production on schedule, including leading creation of test specifications and collaboration on test equipment
- Lead and execute prototype / sample builds and product validation efforts
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues
- Create and maintain project documentation, including drawings, models, and specifications
- Leading Design FMEA Activities
- Creating Specifications and Proof of Compliance Documents
- Familiarity with electronic control design, validation and production
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Pre-approval from the Nidec Talent Acquisition team is required before any external candidate can be submitted and such candidate must be submitted to the Nidec Talent Acquisition team.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Civil, or related field) required
Nice to have
- Development experience with low voltage DC motor control electronics is a plus
