About the role

  • We believe that Engineering, IT and Security are most effective when in sync and learning from each other on a daily basis.
  • As a Web Project Manager, Digital Technology on t he Central Tech team, you will be the operational engine behind CZI, Biohub, and Learning Commons' portfolio of websites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sprint planning and own the bug and feature request tracking system
  • keep it accurate and current with inputs from all partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across web projects, ensuring the development team has clear priorities, realistic deadlines, and what they need to ship.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of web initiatives: new site builds, redesigns, content launches, CRO projects & A/B testing, QA coordination, release communication, and recurring site maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the analytics and data science team to support ongoing CRO testing and site optimization.
  • Manage ongoing accessibility compliance, audits, and updates across all web.
  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between developers, marketing partners, and business stakeholders throughout all stages of a project: scoping, design, development, QA, and launch.
  • Manage day-to-day coordination with external agency partners: schedules, deliverables, handoffs, and ticket queues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in web project management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong proficiency with program/project management tools
  • Experience with WordPress CMS and large-scale builds or rebuilds, including hands-on use of the WordPress Block Editor.

Nice to have

  • Experience with headless CMS architectures.

Compensation

  • The Redwood City, CA base pay range for a new hire in this role is $120,000 - $165,000.
  • This position may be eligible to participate in our discretionary annual performance bonus program. Bonus eligibility and targets are determined in accordance with our total rewards philosophy and may vary by role.
