About the role

  • Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Enterprise SRE team.
  • They ensure the availability and reliability of systems within this stack, and are the principal drivers of growth for software and infrastructure practice within our larger Enterprise Technology team.
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on engineer with exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance, and manage a variety of internal systems, from directory services to AI tools, both on-prem and in the cloud
  • Develop monitoring solutions to ensure high system uptime and reliability
  • Develop monitoring solutions to ensure high system uptime and reliability; utilize tools to detect and resolve issues proactively

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or related disciplines
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Experience managing and monitoring containerized infrastructure
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD
  • Expert experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Experience building and operating services on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)

Nice to have

  • Prior experience working within an IT organization is a plus
  • Prior experience leading a technical team preferred

  • Use of AI tools during interviews or assessments is strictly prohibited, unless otherwise instructed or agreed upon.

Compensation

  • The estimated base salary range for this position is 200,000 to 250,000 USD per year (or local equivalent).
  • The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
