Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting efforts by observing equipment in operation and using testing tools.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and senior engineers to improve equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with company protocols.
- As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power automation systems, including motors, electrical switchgear, controllers, and PLCs on ocean-going vessels while in port.
- With extensive experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, we deliver professional and timely solutions that help our clients achieve operational excellence.

Requirements
- Relevant certificate, Associate degree, or Technical degree in electrical engineering, paired with coursework or internship experience.
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate machinery and repair equipment, with the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and lift at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to read Schematics.
- Must be an avid user of computer software including Microsoft Office.
- Regular local travel with occasional international trips as required.

- Skills & Competencies
- Strong interest in hands-on technical work and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Electrical/Mechanical aptitude, advanced skills in one or more of the following areas a plus: software, electronics, low and high voltage electrical, mechanical and propulsion systems, automation, PLC programming, Ethernet network/Serial communication.
- Ability to write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to collaborate with clients and ensure timely service delivery.
- Working Conditions
- Working conditions are marine/industrial environments which require the use of company uniform and safety equipment, to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe work boots, hardhat and safety vests.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of low voltage and line voltage AC and DC systems and relays, high voltage experience including terminations a plus.
- Basic hydraulic and machine repair knowledge a plus.
