About the role

  • A qualified Diesel Mechanic /Technician will be able to diagnose, provide estimates, and repairs on highly complex electrical and mechanical systems, on class eight tractors.
  • Uses technical publications and other internet-based manuals, technical guides, or check sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair & maintain Class 8 tractors and trailers by analyzing diagnostic test results (computerized, sound, visual, feel, smell, etc.)
  • Perform Federal DOT inspections as well as preventative maintenance
  • Perform light and heavy-duty repairs
  • Maintain company owned tools
  • Maintain company owned service trucks
  • Must provide and maintain personal tools and storage boxes

  • (Preferred) Computerized diagnostic skills
