- Overview Responsible for back office clinical procedures.
- Review patient lab results, discuss abnormal findings with the physician and follow up with patient in regard to treatment as necessary.
- Takes vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure and enters into EHR.
- May draw blood and give injections under the immediate supervision of a Physician or RN.
- Reviews intake forms with the MD/NP/PA when needed to determine what services best suit the patient.
- Prepares patient charts including sourcing information from the referring provider and other EHR systems.
- Chaperones when appropriate and assists during certain minor surgeries and diagnostic procedures (such as Pap Smears).
- Inventories and reorders supplies as needed.
