About the role
- Medical Technologist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance and for reporting test results.
- Adheres to quality control procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
Responsibilities
- Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
- Performs high complexity test specimen analysis in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Evaluates, interprets and validates high complexity test data prior to reporting.
- Maintains daily operations of the laboratory/department to include but not limited to calibration and maintenance of equipment; maintains adequate working inventory.
- Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments relevant to job performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

- Minimum Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, biology, or chemistry Certifications and Licenses
- Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
- Current or eligible for Montana State licensure as a Medical Technologist or ability to become licensed
