About the role

  • The team works closely with the Citi Global Finance Desk and Markets Treasury Desks.
  • The suite of Finance Desk applications provides comprehensive functionalities including position management, trade capture, electronic trading, market risk processing, and reporting.
  • This is supported by a mixed technology environment consisting of client-server applications developed in Java, Angular, and C#, with services running on Linux servers and Cloud Containers.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives
  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions
  • We are seeking a highly experienced IT Business Lead Analyst to serve as a critical liaison between business users and the development team within the Markets Financing desk.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Markets
  • Strong experience with the repo transaction lifecycle, Triparty, Repo, Borrow vs Pledge, and Securities Lending
  • Advanced knowledge of Fixed Income instruments, including Bonds, MBS/ABS, and US Treasuries
  • Experience working with collateral optimization systems
  • knowledge of back‑office clearing, settlement, and margin processing
  • Familiarity with market risk concepts and general collateral curves
  • Moderate experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel for data analysis
  • Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong understanding of business analysis principles and best practices
  • Basic understanding of RFQ, rate negotiation, eTrading, and STP for Repo and Reverse‑Repo transactions
  • Education:

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred

Compensation

  • $129,840.00 - $194,760.00
  • In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
