About the role
- SUMMARY The Infusion Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe and effective pharmacy services in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, pharmacy practice standards, and accrediting entities.
- The Infusion Pharmacist coordinates pharmacy activities including, but not limited to, patient onboarding, sterile compounding, packing/shipping, and ongoing patient clinical monitoring.
- Assesses patients for suitability for home care.
Requirements
- Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- One year of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Follows department policies and participates in staff meetings and required functions.
Nice to have
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program.
- Experience in a hospital, home infusion, or sterile compounding environment.
- COMPETENCIES Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to pharmacy practice.
- Proficiency in dispensing computer software.
- Proficiency in all areas of pharmacy compounding.
- Thorough understanding of controlled substance rules and regulations (DEA, state, and local).
- Expertise in pharmacotherapeutics to oversee the pharmacy patient management program.
- Leadership skills.
