About the role

This position reports directly to the Business Director for Power Components.
It will carry overall accountability for portfolio strategy, product planning, commercialization, profitability, forecasting, pricing, and lifecycle management for the Motor Control and Protection segment.
You will also grow a Product Management organization through coaching, mentoring, and employee development.

The Business Manager leads a team responsible for the following important activities:
Develop product and portfolio strategies that increase revenue, profitability, and customer success.
Partner with Sales and Marketing organizations to develop commercial strategies, strengthen market presence, and accelerate growth within the Motor Control & Protection portfolio.
Build strategic relationships with suppliers, channel partners, industry organizations, and other important partners that support our goals.
Define product line architecture, functional requirements, performance goals, and pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and achieve financial targets.
Lead product launch, promotion, and commercialization activities, including sales enablement, training, trade show participation, literature development, and distribution planning.
Lead product lifecycle management activities, including enhancements, rationalization, change approvals, and obsolescence planning.
Support product development execution through project oversight, issue resolution, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
Maintain awareness of industry, technology, and customer trends and represent Rockwell Automation through participation in technical events and industry forums.
Lead, coach, and develop Product Management employees to enhance performance, strengthen organizational capability, and support career growth.

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Experience leading and aligning cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
Experience translating customer insights into product strategies, product development priorities, and compelling value propositions.
Experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Technical Sales within the industrial automation industry.
Knowledge of industrial automation systems, motor control technologies, and industrial control platforms preferred.

Create short- and long-range business plans aligned with market trends, customer needs, and strategic goals, including leadership of the annual Portfolio Review process.
