About the role

  • Our Finance team is growing, and we are looking for a hands-on Assistant Controller to play an important role in our day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
  • You will be a key contributor to the monthly close process, ensure data accuracy of our books, and help strengthen controls and processes globally.
  • The role requires strong technical accounting skills, a detail-oriented and ownership-driven mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Corporate Controller on the day-to-day tasks and helping to create and design a strong finance foundation in the U.S.
  • Providing comprehensive financial support to various U.S. team functions, such as people, management, and sales, to aid in ongoing operational activity.
  • Support and play a significant role in the tax reporting planning and compliance responsibilities while working with our external tax advisors, including adherence to federal, state, sales, and local tax regulations, ensuring the company meets all its tax obligations.
  • Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies to maintain the reliability and integrity of financial data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite - advantage)
  • Capability to leverage accounting and operational expertise for collaborative guidance and professional interaction with diverse organizational levels, facilitating informed business decisions.
  • Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes.
  • Have a sense of urgency with the ability to balance competing priorities.
