Responsibilities
- Lead the design development of projects and the production of drawings in an accurate and timely manner.
- Resolve complex design and technical issues.
Requirements
- Experience (minimum 5 years post-graduation) in an architectural office environment.
- Experience in significant project phases from concept through construction completion.
- Experience with and interest in tenant improvements.
- Experience with AutoCAD (required) and Revit (an asset) software.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member, and to incorporate direction well.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and provide supporting evidence prior to any potential offer of employment.
- Residence within commuting distance to downtown Vancouver, BC.
- Strong design, graphic and presentation skills, including the ability to translate ideas from concept to detailed drawings.
- Excellent understanding of BC Building Code, Vancouver Building Code Bylaws, and basic building envelope concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, detail oriented and dependable, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop construction drawing packages including construction and millwork drawings.
- A desire to gain real-world skills that will aid you throughout your career.
- Self-motivated individual capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and who is interested in growing with the firm.
