Responsibilities
- Making minor repairs, and performing preventive maintenance such as sharpening lawn mower blades; keeping catch basins and ground gutters clean, remove broken limbs, and perform raking, edging, and weed trimming to ensure safe and attractive grounds.
- During ice and snow conditions, apply salt to walkways and other designated areas to help maintain campus safety.
- Caswell Developmental Center, serving as North Carolina's Eastern Region resource center, provides specialized residential, programmatic, and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements
- The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/ Management Preferences are not required.
- All employees are required to adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.

Skills
- Basic to general knowledge of the principles and techniques associated with grounds keeping and landscaping;
- Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to the work.
- Ability to operate the more common types of shop equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Compensation
- $31,200.00 - $48,810.00
- Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.

- Description of Work
- will include mowing grass using commercial mowers and tractors to keep landscaped areas well maintained; maintaining shrubs and flower beds by pruning, weeding, edging, and trimming with equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, hedgers, blowers, sprayers, and chain saws.
