About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manages supervisors and employees, applying operational or strategic management skills
  • Collaborates with the Engineering leads to develop and establish work methodologies for the creation and documentation of new designs and the modification of existing designs.
  • Collaborates with the Engineering Technician & Machine Shop group to tailor Engineering work methodologies for best support of equipment assembly processes
  • Collaborates with the Engineering leads to identify CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools and other equipment that best serve the mission of the group
  • Drives and participates in the resolution of technical, resource, and scheduling issues that may arise during an Engineering project
  • Is responsible for the business relationship with CAD companies and drives the support and maintenance agreements with them
  • Collaborates with Engineering management and Engineering rank & file associates to develop, implement, review, and improve Project Management methodologies used by the Engineering group
  • For new projects, collaborates with Engineering management and Engineering leads to specify a project's technical requirements as well as scope, timeline, and resources

  • In this role, you will manage a team of supervisors and employees, leading in the areas of projects, CAD vendor management, and work methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in any engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, or software)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' management experience across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Strong leadership and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $180,000 – $209,000 annual base.
