  • DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is looking to hire a Packaging Technician to work from our Port of Alexandria Facility in our Woodshop Department.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom cribbing and crating for product.
  • The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.

Requirements

  • This individual must be able to perform duties with speed and accuracy to produce a quality product and keep a steady flow of products.

Nice to have

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Read and understand measuring devices such as tape measurer, rules, and combination squares required.
  • Perform simple shop math (add/subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers) required.
  • Experience applying simple hand tools such as wrenches, hammer, screw driver etc. required.
  • Experience working in a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred.
