About the role
- The salary range for this position is: $153,000 - $191,000 Cool Things to Know Not Just Any Company: Alkami has an awesome diverse and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack and backend engineers across multiple product verticals
- Partner with Product to shape the roadmap, prioritize trade-offs, and define scope for quarterly planning
- SSO & Authentication across SAML, OIDC, and enrollment integrations with partners
- Public API Platform including CRUD endpoints, webhook support, and partner-facing documentation
- Collaborate with the Alkami Better Together initiative to align platform investments with joint go-to-market priorities
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong hands-on technical foundation.
- 2+ years of experience in a technology leadership role with a track record of building and leading strong teams.
- Strong experience with modern software engineering across areas such as TypeScript, Node.js, Python, API development, event-driven systems, and relational databases such as Postgres.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn product asks into clear technical plans and align stakeholders around execution.
- Comfort operating in an evolving environment where priorities can shift and the best leaders stay calm, adaptable, and execution-focused.
- You enjoy breaking down complex product asks into elegant, maintainable solutions.
- You are comfortable discussing architecture, advocating for sound technical decisions, and weighing tradeoffs thoughtfully.
- You enjoy mentoring teammates and helping raise the quality of the broader team's work.
Compensation
- As of January 1, 2023, new states and locales have enacted pay equity laws that require more pay transparency by employers in the following states: California, Colorado (effective January 1, 2021), Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and Washington.
