About the role
- As our first hire on the technical accounting and financial reporting team, you will be a key architect behind some of our most critical accounting initiatives.
- This is a high-trust role that will require end-to-end ownership over key strategic projects.
- We're looking for the type of individual that is constantly looking to improve existing processes and do deep research on high leverage projects.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end revenue accounting policies under ASC 606 (or IFRS 15), including review of complex contracts, multiple performance obligations, variable consideration, and non-standard deal terms
- Partner with Go-to-market, Legal, and the Deal Desk function to assess revenue treatment for new products, bundled offerings, and non-standard contracts before deals close
- Lead preparation of external financial statements and footnote disclosures (10-K/10-Q if public, or audited financials if private)
- Build, manage, and develop a team of revenue and technical accounting professionals
- Prior people management experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Experience building the technical accounting and financial reporting function from 0 to 1 at a high-growth, venture-backed company.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice to have
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant time in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or a corporate technical accounting/revenue role
- Experience with SEC reporting and public company requirements strongly preferred
