Responsibilities
- Influence and align business, legal, compliance, security, analytics, and technology stakeholders to build a culture of trusted, secure, and fit-for-purpose data.
- Design and implement enterprise data governance operating models, including governance workflows, data ownership structures, stewardship programs, and escalation paths.
- Develop and enforce data classification, metadata standards, business glossaries, and data catalog frameworks across enterprise data assets.
- Lead data lifecycle, retention, and records management policies across data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud environments.
- Lead enterprise data privacy programs ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, SOX, PCI-DSS, and other applicable regulations.
- Implement Privacy by Design principles across data platforms, applications, and analytics initiatives.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage third-party data processing, cross-border data transfers, and regulatory audit readiness.
- Drive Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data governance across enterprise systems.
- Lead governance for data integration, migration, and transformation programs across complex multi-system landscapes.
- Lead, mentor, and coach cross-functional, multi-geography teams (50-200+ members) spanning business, technology, vendor, and compliance workstreams.
