About the role

  • Pay Range: $110,000/yr. - $140,000/yr. based on experience and qualifications.
  • The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental programs at Home Market Foods (HMF) South Windsor Manufacturing facility.
  • This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental conservation practices.
  • Maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with hazard communication standards.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness. Serves as site Emergency Coordinator for EHS programs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for both manufacturing sites and supports site PSM Process Engineer in overseeing PSM program requirements
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety training programs and managing safety committees.
  • The EHS Manager reports into the Director of EHS and works closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to develop and enforce policies and procedures that protect the well-being of all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and incident investigation techniques. <

Nice to have

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar professional certification preferred.

Compensation

  • $110,000/yr. - $140,000/yr. based on experience and qualifications.
