About the role
- As a Material Planner at New Flyer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency of our materials department.
- This position involves coordinating material planning activities to ensure that materials are available for production, reducing excess inventory, and driving continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement and assist with the development, communication and deployment of policies, guidelines and tools to ensure success in all processes.
- Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to all safety policies, procedures and processes.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Requirements
- Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
