About the role
- Client Consulting & Engagement Management
- Meet with Rehmann team members and client staff to understand needs, objectives, and operational challenges.
- Conduct or oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Provide consulting support to clients within designated areas of expertise.
- Support clients in implementing recommended process improvements and operational changes.
- Maintain strong client relationships during and between engagements.
- Oversee engagement design and execution in accordance with firm policies and quality standards.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively to optimize team workload and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree desired.
- Knowledge of federal cost principles, federal grant accounting/reporting, and the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (2 CFR 200) compliance.
- Ability to foster positive team interactions and serve as a role model for others.
- Define project scope, develop work plans, and outline research and analysis required to meet engagement goals.
- Knowledge of GAAP, grant and other compliance requirements and the impact on accounting for transactions in the general ledger.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of client accounting systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree desired.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in the non-profit or governmental space required.
- CPA, CGFM or CGMA/CMA or similar certification desired.
- Proficiency in core accounting functions (accounts payable, payroll, cash receipting, reconciliations).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (FASB and/or GASB) standards.
- Demonstrated ethical behavior, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
- Professional presence, maturity, and confidence.
- Prior experience in not‑for‑profit accounting and working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) is highly desired.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, consistently meeting deadlines and performance expectations.
