About the role
- The OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST is responsible for the evaluation, administration, and oversight of evidence-based occupational therapy services provided to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations.
- They act in accordance with physician referral guidelines, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures.
- They embody strong customer service skills and communicate in a concise, tactful manner with physicians, co-workers, caregivers, family members, patients, and other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- They develop and update appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family to assist in returning to their prior level of function.
- Performs ongoing evaluation of patient's response to treatment to assure effective and appropriate provision of services as demonstrated through documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university approved by the AOTA, prior to starting employment Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
- Occupational Therapist (OTL) - License Current license issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners that is in good standing, prior to starting employment Required
- Must be available to work 12 shifts/quarter

- Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university approved by the AOTA, prior to starting employment Preferred
- Other Network float position: Six (6) months recent experience Preferred
Skills
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills to enhance and encourage collaborative staff relationships.
