About the role

  • The Area Sales Director (ASD) is responsible for driving Collegium's culture of high performance and delivering exceptional commercial results.
  • Working closely with the Vice President of Sales and collaborating with sales leadership, marketing, compliance, and medical teams, the ASD will insure implementation of the company's sales strategy.
  • As a key source of market intelligence, the ASD will anticipate and respond effectively to marketplace dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Meet/exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and create and executive the national sales strategy
  • Manage a best‑in‑class sales organization consisting of District Sales Managers and ADHD Specialists.
  • Ensure team members meet training goals and develop rapidly into subject matter experts.
  • Coach team members individually to perform as a high‑functioning unit.
  • Implement and contribute to succession plans to ensure appropriate talent is in place for long‑term business goals.
  • Lead cross‑functional partnerships with Commercial Operations and Marketing.
  • Identify opportunities in the marketplace, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies to cross‑functional partners.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 5 years as a first line sales leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via multiple channels with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successfully navigate and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead specifically to the person and situation. Be able to adapt to different environments as necessary to compliantly achieve success in all situations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive results across diverse team.
  • Demonstrated exceptional qualitative and quantitative/analytical skills.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, advanced degree preferred.

Compensation

  • $240,000 - $280,000 USD
  • This policy applies to hiring, training, promotion, compensation, disciplinary measures, access to facilities and programs, and all other personnel actions and conditions of employment.
