About the role
- This role serves as a key operational driver responsible for advancing the integrity, standardization, and effectiveness of perioperative preference cards with a specific focus on supplies.
- Preference cards function as a foundational capability aligning Perioperative Services and Spend Management, with this role ensuring consistency and execution across both areas.
- The scope of this role focuses on connecting perioperative supply workflows to inventory availability and visibility, data integrity, and clinical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary resource to perioperative teams to support accurate, complete, and standardized supplies on preference cards in alignment with established governance frameworks
- Support implementation of value analysis initiatives, including product conversions and standardization efforts, through coordinated updates to preference cards
- Identify variation between preference cards and approved product decisions, and partner with stakeholders to resolve
- Support initiatives that improve inventory visibility and traceability at the point of use
- Partner with supply chain operations to better connect perioperarive demand signals to inventory planning and replenishment
- Support alignment between preference cards and clinical documentation systems to improve accuracy of supply capture and utilization data
Skills
- 3 or more years of experience in supply chain.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Certified Surgical Services Manager Credential
- Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN)
- TUKHS Lean certification.
- Fluent English - with advanced communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications is required.
- Familiarity with Lean concepts and processes.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
