About the role

  • Examples of systems to integrate include general-purpose I/O enclosures, motion interfaces, electronics racks, and computers.
  • Project management for hardware integration projects within DSSI.
  • Contribute to larger projects which have integration needs.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with scientists and engineers to identify hardware integration requirements, outline potential solutions, and create project proposals.
  • Refine requirements, design, implement, test, and document solutions.
  • Perform as a subject matter expert, consulting DSSI teams and facility staff on best practices and approaches in hardware integration, ensuring facility and system standards are met.
  • Maintain electrical safety.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in a related occupation.
  • This is due to nationwide identification requirements for federal site access as required by the federal REAL ID Act.
  • As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a UPIV credential.
  • Must have 4 years of experience integrating hardware in control systems
