About the role
- Examples of systems to integrate include general-purpose I/O enclosures, motion interfaces, electronics racks, and computers.
- Project management for hardware integration projects within DSSI.
- Contribute to larger projects which have integration needs.
Responsibilities
- Interact with scientists and engineers to identify hardware integration requirements, outline potential solutions, and create project proposals.
- Refine requirements, design, implement, test, and document solutions.
- Perform as a subject matter expert, consulting DSSI teams and facility staff on best practices and approaches in hardware integration, ensuring facility and system standards are met.
- Maintain electrical safety.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in a related occupation.
- This is due to nationwide identification requirements for federal site access as required by the federal REAL ID Act.
- As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a UPIV credential.
- Must have 4 years of experience integrating hardware in control systems
