About the role
- You'll be the bridge between our R&D teams and the regulatory world - embedded in product decisions from day one, not brought in to fix problems after the fact.
Responsibilities
- Product Development Support & Code Research
- Partner with R&D and hardware engineering teams during the early design phases to embed code compliance into the product DNA.
- Support coordination with third-party testing laboratories to oversee the certification, listing, and labeling process for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing products.
- Perform full-house MEP engineering calculations.
- Stamp and sign off on residential construction documents for submittal to building departments.

Requirements
- A PE-licensed MEP engineer with deep hands-on experience in California residential systems, certification pipelines, and code compliance.
- PE license in California (required)
Skills
- PE license in California (required); Hawaii reciprocity preferred
- Expert knowledge of California Title 24 (Parts 3, 4, 5, 6, 9), NEC, and NFPA
- Hands-on experience bringing hardware through UL/ETL certification and listing
- Residential MEP sizing, load calculations, and plan check submittals
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
