About the role
- The Analyst prepares samples and measures specifications using prescribed lab equipment for each product.
- Analyzes samples by following established procedures in order to determine sample condition and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Documents and verifies all unusual specifications, poor sample conditions, and any aspects of individual samples that does not comply with industry norms by placing internal notes and report comments in ITEL software.
- Interpersonal Communication: ability to choose a communication behavior that is both appropriate and effective for a given situation; the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, as well as recognize and influence the emotions of others
- Team Orientation and Collaboration: ability to successfully build and maintain collaborative relationships to work effectively together as a team through shared responsibility, respect, and empathy to complete a shared goal for a common good

Requirements
- ability to plan, schedule and organize professional schedule to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames
- ability to choose a communication behavior that is both appropriate and effective for a given situation
- ability to act with a clear sense of ownership
- Operates and utilizes lab equipment/tools as required, following current lab procedures.
- Communicates with manufacturers and distributors as required by specific products.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to evaluate mathematical data and arrive at a decision
Nice to have
- Some college coursework
- At least two (2) years of job-related experience preferred in the flooring, siding, or roofing industries
Skills
