Responsibilities
- As a bench technologist in Microbiology, this person is responsible for processing, evaluating patient specimens, performing tests to identify microorganisms or antigens according to written procedures and perform susceptibilities.
- This position requires one to maintain safe work practices, follow all regulatory requirements and engage supervisor, manager, or director as appropriate.
Requirements
- CHT (ABHI) certification within 1 year of eligibility.
- If eligible at time of hire, certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
- Bachelors degree in medical laboratory sciences, Medical Technology or an ASCP approved discipline (chemistry or biology)
