About the role
- Position Overview A2G International is seeking a highly experienced and mission‑focused Vice President of Operations to lead our Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) flying operations business. This executive will oversee all aspects of operational performance for our pilot cadre, mission sensor operators, and maintenance teams, ensuring
- world‑class ISR services are delivered to U.S. and international military customers. The ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex aviation programs in dynamic environments. Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop multi‑disciplinary teams of pilots, mission sensor operators, and maintenance professionals to ensure high performance and readiness.
- Vendor and subcontractor coordination - maintain mission system OEM, sensor provider, MRO, and parts supplier relationships.
- Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and standardization across all operational departments.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business development, program managers development, and long‑range operational planning and growth.
- Maintain accountability for budget performance, resource allocation, staffing levels, and operational forecasting.
- Lead risk management activities, ensuring robust mitigation plans, safety protocols, and operational resilience.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑site teams and manage complex operational programs.
Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Nice to have
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for all ISR flying operations, including flight operations, mission execution, and aircraft maintenance.
- Mission system integration / payload installation oversight - sensor and comms integration, ground station interoperability, and configuration management.
- Oversee SOW development, vendor performance management, and contract execution to sustain fleet readiness.
- Represent A2G International in customer briefings, program reviews, and international engagements as required.
- Bachelor's degree required
- advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of aviation operations leadership, preferably in ISR, special missions, defense contracting, or military aviation.
- Demonstrated success managing flight operations and maintenance organizations in high‑tempo environments.
