  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Preference given to candidates with major coursework in construction, construction management, or engineering
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Ability to apply project management techniques to make involved and difficult decisions for projects, develop complex plans and specifications and perform research.
  • Ability to develop project scope, tasks, timelines and resource assignment to include other project managers and outside consultants.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction diagrams, plans, and blueprints and to recognize deviations from such plans in building construction and installation processes.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Preference given to candidates with major coursework in construction, construction management, or engineering
  • and five (5) years of responsible experience in the management of complex construction projects;
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required.
  • State of Florida license as a Professional Engineer preferred.

Skills

  • Work may require oversight by management.
  • Requires negotiating skills and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of governmental budget procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
