About the role
- As an integral member of the interprofessional team, the Medical/Radiation Inpatient Unit Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) acts as a clinical and operational resource and co-leader for the interprofessional team.
- The PCC has clinical and leadership expertise.
- The principal responsibilities within the inpatient unit include:
Responsibilities
- The PCC works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and interprofessional partners to support efficient service delivery, effective resource utilization, staff engagement, and optimal patient care outcomes.
- Basic Cardiac life Support (B.C.L.S.) program
- Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment and collaborates with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patients
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
Requirements
- Three (3) years nursing experience, including experience as required by area of responsibility and experience working in a supervisory capacity
- Current certificate of competency (licensure) from the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Experience with project management and/or Lean process improvement an asset
- Exercise initiative and good judgement with the ability to multi-task
Nice to have
- Completion of a Master's degree in Nursing preferred

Compensation
- $46k-$57k
