About the role

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, and industrial settings.
  • The Electrician will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager and will play a key role in ensuring that electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, circuits, outlets, control panels, and lighting.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent with a strong background in commercial, and industrial equipment controls wiring electrical work.

Nice to have

  • Work collaboratively with other electricians, apprentices, and construction trades personnel to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
  • Emergency Response:
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues as needed, including troubleshooting and repair of critical systems.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
  • Experience in lieu of certification will be considered.
  • Certification: Valid Journeyman Electrician license preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
