About the role
- The Yard Associate will be responsible for the daily operations, inventory management, and maintenance of the heavy equipment yard.
- This role involves handling equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Additionally, the Yard Associate will assist in pressure washing equipment, maintaining the yard through mowing, weed eating, and trash pickup.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard by mowing, weed eating, and picking up trash.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the yard and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, cranes) safely and efficiently.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Pressure wash equipment as required to ensure cleanliness.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Nice to have
- Certification or training in heavy equipment operation.
- Experience using inventory or yard management software.
- Familiarity with safety regulations in an industrial yard setting.
- Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work in a storage yard environment.
- Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy objects, and using machinery.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required due to business needs.
