Requirements
- The Department of Geography, GIS, Sustainability requires an academic degree in the discipline (Geography, Geospatial Technologies, Planning, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability).
- A graduate degree in computer science, general science, planning, or a spatial discipline related to any of the specialty groups defined by the American Association of Geographers (www.aag.org)
Nice to have
- Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach.
- Past record of successful college-level teaching experience in the discipline of employment.
- For online teaching, one or more semesters' worth of online teaching experience.
- Experience using the Canvas platform and with courses that have received Quality Matters approval is advantageous.
