About the role
- Conducts safety inspections and trainings to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Conducts regular safety inspections of the facilities and safety equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Oversees general safety programs, collects and analyzes statistical data on safety, and ensures accurate documentation is maintained.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
- Decision Making, Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required,
- Travel required 50%-70% within Ohio.
- Same day travel with minimal overnight stays required.
- Certificate in fire-fighting methodology within one year of hire, required.
- HAZWOPER 24 Hour Initial Training certification within one year of hire, required.
- Certification in Hazardous Material Handling and related USDOT regulations within one year of hire, required.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Ohio buildings codes, Joint Commission, OSHA, and the Ohio Fire Code.
- Working knowledge of ergonomics and body mechanics.
- Working knowledge of disaster response protocols.
- Four years of experience in healthcare safety or related field, required.
- Physical Requirements:
- 100 lbs or greater with assistance,
- grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Interpreting Data, Peripheral vision, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing - Far/near

Compensation
- $41k-$60k
