About the role

Waste Connections is seeking a reliable and hardworking Local CDL Driver to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste to designated disposal sites.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and environmental responsibility.

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collected, and any incidents or issues encountered.

Strong knowledge of local streets and routes.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.
Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Two years of consistent driving history
Able to operate a manual transmission
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.

Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Ensure waste collection services meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.
