About the role
- Company Federal Reserve Bank of Boston The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is one of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System.
- We (the "Boston Fed," the "Bank") serve the First Federal Reserve District that includes the six New England states: Connecticut (excluding Fairfield County), Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
- One example is the recently launched FedNowSM Service ("FedNow"), a real-time gross payments settlement system.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide talent review and succession planning processes, ensuring robust pipelines for critical roles across all business areas
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify and close capability gaps in areas such as leadership, technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and specialized Federal Reserve competencies
- Drive internal mobility and career pathing to retain and develop key talent
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of processes and tools that reinforce accountability and development
- Build talent pipelines aligned with future workforce needs, aligning with the System and Bank's strategic plans
- Build strong talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles, including economists, technology professionals, and specialized banking functions
- Architect and implement leadership development programs that build capability from frontline leaders to executive leadership
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 10 talent professionals, including 3 direct reports; fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence within the team
- Manage external partners and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions
- Build strong collaborative relationships across the Boston Reserve Bank and the broader Federal Reserve System, participating/leading both local and system-wide committees and initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
- Strong business acumen with ability to align talent strategies to organizational priorities
- Executive presence with ability to influence and consult with senior stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and vendor partnerships
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- At times, officers may be required to work evenings and/or over the weekend.
Nice to have
- Master's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
- Experience in financial services, banking, government, or highly regulated environments
- Experience with workforce planning and organizational design
- Key Competencies
- Eligibility to work in the United States or Eligibility for a top-secret-level security clearance which necessitates the candidate be a US Citizen.
- Willingness to travel as business needs arise.

Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $225,900 - $338,900.
