Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard work, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate and support operational projects from planning through implementation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational challenges.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business objectives.
- DIS-TRAN Steel is seeking an Industrial Operations Specialist to help drive operational excellence across our manufacturing environment.
- Rather than sitting behind a desk designing products, you'll be on the plant floor identifying opportunities, improving workflows, supporting operations, and helping our teams deliver results safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

Nice to have
- We're seeking individuals who are naturally curious, analytical, and energized by solving real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, process improvement, production, project management, or continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence principles is preferred.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
