About the role
- We're dedicated to the growth and development of our team to set them up for success.
- Registered Nurse (RN Clinical Manager - Homecare Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:30am-5:00pm.
- 1 weekend only every 6-8 weeks for manager escalation calls HYBRID SCHEDULE - 2 DAYS IN OFFICE/3 DAYS AT HOME FOR ONE WEEK.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with intake, providing daily direction, managing referral volume based on staffing availability
- Implement quality improvement programs in the field
- Participates in all liaison/administrative on-call rotation, and patient staffing as needed to manage after hour's team, staffing needs and patient related issues
- Manages on call calendar for internal & field staff
- Collaborates with billing department to address authorization pro bono requests & ensures patient contact regarding authorization exceptions
- Performs new and ongoing liaison training as defined by the Administrator
- Maintains positive working relationships with referral sources including physicians, hospitals, skilled facilities, assisted livings and families
- Maintains active RN or PT license in state of employment
- Consistently demonstrates core values and maintains a professional appearance as a representative of the company
- Understands, implements and practices policies and procedures for agency operation
Requirements
- Minimum of Three (3) years of experience as an RN or PT in an acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve clinical needs
- Ability to remain calm, have patience and be accommodating
- Ability to resolve conflict using conflict management skills
- Ability to make appropriate nursing judgments
- Ability to identify a situation and handle it with the best possible solution
- Ability to resolve tough decision-making situations, providing direction to internal & field staff
- Ability to prioritize and be timely
- Ability to clinically triage the needs of the department to ensure team goals are met timely
- Applies fact-based knowledge of technical skills and business understanding
- Ability to create positive impressions and communicate with a variety of people
- Exemplary communication skills and customer focus
- Compassionate and caring while working with patients
- Knowledgeable on nursing best practices
- Detail-oriented and observant.
Nice to have
- Current RN or PT license in the state of employment
- RN is strongly preferred
