About the role
- Operation Departments Job Responsibilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with tenants, contractors, and management.
- Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify and diagnose potential issues before they become major problems.
- Complete basic carpentry tasks, such as repairing walls, floors, furniture, and installing fixtures like dispensers and chalkboards.
Responsibilities
- Perform all maintenance and repair work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Ability to use building management systems (BMS) and other software for monitoring, logging, and reporting.
- Perform minor plumbing work, including repairing leaks in faucets and drain lines, and clearing obstructions.
- Apply basic painting, masonry, and roofing knowledge to address issues and maintain a high-quality appearance.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal
- Work as a team to develop and implement regular maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment to proactively identify and fix potential issues before they cause system failure.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
- A key responsibility of this role is to maintain a safe, comfortable, and high-quality work environment for all members of the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Basic knowledge of computer operations.
- The ability to work in various conditions, including at heights, in inclement weather, and in confined spaces.
- Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality with all students, staff, and operational information.
Nice to have
- A valid driver's license is required (Chauffeur's License preferred)
