About the role
- MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.
- include but are not limited to: Designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features and functionality.
- Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Responsibilities
- The Software Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems while ensuring all functional and performance requirements are met.
- Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements while debugging existing software to correct defects.
- Developing and implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 20+ years of software engineering experience
- Four years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor?s Degree.
- Expert-level proficiency with backend software development using Java.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Nice to have
- Clearance Requirements: Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
