About the role

  • It's a great time to join the City of Boulder!
  • This role also assists with the junior golf programs, growth of the game initiatives, as well as club fitting and general club repair.

Responsibilities

  • Performs cashier functions, register players, schedule starting times, coordinate daily play, and provide facility information. Organizes, cleans, and maintains fleet of carts for players and marshals.
  • Maintains driving range, by driving ball picker and hand-picking range balls. Operates, cleans and maintains ball machine.
  • Performs customer relations role which may include interacting with players, parents, participants, business or program partners, and/or city staff to provide information and solve problems.
  • Performs general golf pro area/driving range maintenance duties, such as cleaning pro shop operations areas and restrooms, collecting, cleaning and preparing range balls.

Requirements

  • Ability to work under stress from demanding deadlines, public contact, and changing priorities and conditions.

Nice to have

  • Physical and Mental Effort: Ability to lift 40lbs up to 50 times in a six-hour periods
  • occasional lifting and carrying
  • frequent walking and standing.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities that permits the employee to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.

Skills

  • Previous cashier/cash handling experience.
  • Previous customer service experience at a public facility.
  • Previous golf playing experience.
  • Previous experience with Club Prophet POS system.
  • Supervision Received: Recreation Member Service Supervisor
  • Supervision Exercised: None

Compensation

  • Full Pay Range
  • Generally, the hiring range is from the minimum up to 80% of the range.This is a part-time hourly position.
