  • In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, ensuring accurate and efficient check-in processes, and performing insurance verification tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework in healthcare administration or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification processes, including insurance plans, coverage, eligibility, and authorizations.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and coding (ICD-10, CPT) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients and effectively collaborate with staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional demeanor, maintaining confidentiality, and displaying empathy and compassion towards patients.
