- Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic (CDL A) - Job Description Essel is seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a CDL A license to join our operations team.
- This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment machinery, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely under CDL A regulations.
- Perform troubleshooting and make necessary repairs to diesel engines and equipment components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in diesel and heavy equipment mechanic roles.
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license is required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- The candidate will be expected to have a strong knowledge of diesel mechanics and heavy equipment systems, as well as the ability to drive commercial vehicles as required.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic program preferred.
