About the role

  • The Nurse Manager, Interfacility Transportation Services (IFT) provides strategic, clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for the interfacility transport program to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • This role directs daily operations, workforce management, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and program development while collaborating with physicians, hospital leaders, and community partners.
  • The Nurse Manager promotes operational excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement to support organizational goals and the delivery of exceptional transport services.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives for IFT staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience supporting ambulance billing or revenue cycle operations.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences using a variety of mediums.
  • Required:
  • Current State of Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience in emergency medical services, interfacility transport, critical care transport, emergency nursing, or a closely related setting.
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience managing clinical operations, staff, or transport services.
  • Preferred:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Current Paramedic or EMS certification or licensure.
  • Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

  • Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
  • Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed.
  • Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings.
  • Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
  • Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
