About the role
- Cell Press has recently launched a new journal, Cell Press Blue, to serve as its premium open access offering.
- The journal will be at the heart of the Cell Press portfolio, being truly multidisciplinary it will reflect the best of all our flagship journals and provide a vital bridge to our Cell Reports series of journals.
- We are seeking an Associate Scientific Editor to join the team and help nurture its rapid development.
Responsibilities
- Developing and fostering partnerships with other editorial teams at Cell Press, members of the production, marketing, press and advertising teams.
- Developing a broad appeal, impactful, topical, and cohesive journal.
- Drawing on and develop a network of leading researchers to attract influential article submissions.
- The new editor will take responsibility for being the primary point of contact with one or more of our sister journals, develop multiple areas in the journal and drive new initiatives.
Requirements
- Have proven research expertise relevant to physical science, a background in material science would be beneficial but not essential
Compensation
- $59,200 - $98,600.
