About the role
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, customer quality requirements, and internal operational procedures across rapidly developing hardware and manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, process documentation, and quality records.
- Lead internal and external audit activities including preparation, execution, corrective action management, and audit follow-up activities.
- Manage nonconformance reporting (NCR), root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support supplier quality activities, process validations, and manufacturing quality assurance efforts as needed.
- Oversee and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure continued compliance with AS9100 standards and customer quality requirements.
- Mach Energetics is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in support of next-generation aerospace and defense programs.
- Founded in 2022, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 standards, quality systems management, and audit processes.
- Experience managing corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, propulsion systems, or complex hardware programs.
- Familiarity with supplier quality management and production quality systems.
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or rapid hardware development environments.
- Knowledge of FAA, DoD, or aerospace regulatory compliance requirements.
- This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
