About the role
- LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
- LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games.
Responsibilities
- Lead LA28's venue transport and local area workstream and cadence, including quarterly coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders ( V enue cities, Metro, Caltrans, Metrolink, law enforcement, fire/EMS, etc.).
- Establish clear decision pathways, meeting outputs, action logs, and follow-up to drive closure across agencies and venues.
- External Partner Management (SME Liaison)
- Serve as the subject-matter expert and primary interface between external partners and LA28 Venue Transport Managers, translating partner requirements, constraints, and operating practices into actionable venue transport inputs.
- Support relationship management, issue escalation, and cross-agency alignment to protect schedule, safety, and operational integrity.
- Develop and maintain LATMP guidance, templates, and minimum content requirements to drive consistency across venue cities.
- Identify gaps, risks, and interdependencies (e.g., overlapping closure footprints, shared detours, competing curb demand) and drive mitigation planning with partners.
- Create and manage integrated timelines, milestones, and deliverable trackers to ensure each venue city progresses at an appropriate and consistent pace.
